Sue Speake grew up in Texas and moved to California in her twenties. She taught elementary school for seventeen years.
While teaching elementary school, she went back college at California State University in Northridge to earn a Master’s Degree.
Becoming a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in 1994, Sue has been serving patients in Southern and Central California for over twenty years. She is also a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.
Her experience as a therapist covers all ages and many issues, including substance abuse. She has worked with groups, families, couples, and individuals providing support for chronic and severe issues — as well as offering a little support to help folks get through a difficult time.
Sue is the founder of MicroSteps® Therapy, a Cognitive-Behavioral Tool to help people get unstuck and move forward with their goals.
While writing, working with patients, hanging out with friends and enjoying family take up much of her time, Sue also enjoys growing herbs, roses, cooking, and learning just about anything.
Enjoying the antics of her mischievous, little girl kitten, Sunny, is a favorite way to relax and be amused.
